Minimalist Sneakers
The top left are pretty sexy, right? They're pretty much my ideal sneaker but seem to be sold out almost everywhere I look. I have a pair of insanely comfortable black Nikes but I've worn them almost every day for the past two years, so it might be time to upgrade? But I really love the tan ones with the shiny reptile leather swoosh.
The Nikes I own are Free 3.0 and they are REALLY REALLY comfortable, I'm a bit afraid to try any other models. I bought a pair of colourful Roshe Runs last spring and they just aren't the same for me.

A Bit of Spring with Äng
This morning I took the boys to the supermarket to pick up a few items for dinner and a mission to find tulips. Tulips usually start to hit the grocery store around mid-January/early February in Sweden and I could use a bit of colour in the house right now.
I didn't find tulips but I did find some Irish daffodils, handpicked and ready to bloom. At 1.40 euros the price was a steal for two clusters. I know it's only mid-January bit sometimes you really need a sign that sunnier days aren't so far away.
I bought Äng vase by Klong last spring. I personally love it and think it's such an abstract and clever way to display flowers instead of a usual vase. My husband doesn't really "get it" but to each their own.
The little print is "Snowy Path on the Lake" by Renee Anne, the vase was my late grandmother's and is from China, the basket is also my late grandmother's and is from Singapore. The large Andy Warhol print is from the Stockholm Modern Museum.

Stendig To Start Off The New Year
Happy 2015!
A few days in and it's so far starting off to a good year. A bit of sickness, a lot of sweet family time, loads of coffee, and exciting plans and resolutions.
Mid-December I realized I still had to buy our yearly Stendig calendar. Apparently they are pretty easy to get in the US, but overseas it's always a challenge. For the past three years I've bought from a Danish company that I think is probably way overpriced, but they are reliable and fast.
